Rego’s Circus is a series about survival, life as a voyage and balancing act.
This series features Rego the rescued cat as a main character.

The first year of Rego's life had been very difficult: wounds from other cats' attack, homelessness, undernourishment and breathing problems for which she was taken to ER. But she’s had enough will power and luck to survive all these and thrive. I was inspired by her strength despite being a very small cat, and started this series.

Rego is black and extra-toed (polydactyl); sailors in the old days believed those characteristics to be good luck symbols that protect ships from dangerous weather. Based on this old belief, Rego plays a role of a ship's cat, as well as a circus star. The series also features many survivors: famous ship cats such as Unsinkable Sam who survived three ship sinkings during the Second World War, Winston the French Bulldog who was in the news for his surviving a 6-story plunge from his apartment in NYC, Juliane Koepcke who survived a plane crash in the Amazon jungle in 1971, Harry Houdini who escapes “impossible” situations, children in juvenile detention centers, and so on.
